Ending my conversation with Karmin I run down the steps and appear before them, Audrey and her man are seated in the dining room.

“This is for you”

She hands me a card and a Victoria Secret bag stuffed with eyelashes and lipstick too.

“I can’t believe you came”

“Why wouldn’t I”

“You live really far”

She smiled and gave me a hug, I hugged her boyfriend too and thanked him for bringing her.

“A you’re my sister, why wouldn’t I be here?”

“Thanks I really appreciate it”

I opened the card when she left, it was cash on hand, more than I needed to hold me over ’till payday.
